Hola, amigos de la comunidad de Música, espero se encuentren muy bien. Estoy muy obsesionada con la música de Yungblud; siento que debí escucharlo mucho antes, pero nunca es tarde, ¿no? Me encanta su manera de expresar su arte a través de la música y la letra de sus canciones; siento que tiene una vibra muy punk/pop que me recuerda a otros cantantes como Avril Lavigne o bandas como My Chemical Romance. Hoy les quiero hablar de una canción que recién hace poco escuché y se llama
"Mars".

Hello, friends of the Music community, I hope you are doing great. I'm really obsessed with Yungblud's music; I feel like I should have listened to him much earlier, but it's never too late, right? I love the way he expresses his art through music and lyrics; I feel like he has a very punk/pop vibe that reminds me of other singers like Avril Lavigne or bands like My Chemical Romance. Today I want to talk about a song I recently heard and it's called "Mars".

El título es simple y pueden imaginarse muchas cosas, pero más allá de mencionar al planeta, tiene que ver con la forma en la que una persona lucha con su propia identidad y desea poder mudarse a otro lugar, encontrar su propio camino donde realmente pueda ser él mismo, un lugar que le permita mostrarse sin miedo y donde no sea más discriminado o juzgado por otros. Este tema al parecer estuvo inspirado en una chica trans, a quien Yungblud conoció en uno de sus conciertos y que le hizo sentir mucha empatía acerca de su historia y su propia lucha de identidad en un mundo que juzga sin siquiera conocer lo que otros tienen por decir.

The title is simple and you can imagine many things, but beyond mentioning the planet, it has to do with the way a person struggles with his own identity and wishes he could move to another place, find his own way where he can really be himself, a place that allows him to show himself without fear and where he is no longer discriminated or judged by others. This track was apparently inspired by a trans girl, who Yungblud met at one of his concerts and who made him feel very empathetic about her story and his own identity struggle in a world that judges without even knowing what others have to say.

Yungblud's amazing voice makes this song sound like those songs I listened to as a teenager that would be on a very
emo
playlist. I love that in the song he is so sincere about the story he is telling, where he starts talking about a seventeen year old girl who is not understood neither by her parents nor by the place that saw her grow up; she is basically being judged for what she stands for and for her ideals, so she dreams of the idea of getting out of that dark place and finding on another planet, like in
Mars,
her safe place.

La letra de la canción es muy específica en relatar la historia de esta joven y aunque el coro es un poco repetitivo siento que se da a entender la fuerza con la que está chica desea salir de el ambiente en el que se encuentra y tal vez mudarse a otro lugar pueda ser lo mejor, un lugar donde nadie la conozca y dónde pueda empezar una nueva historia, Yungblud es un hombre muy sensible y siento que en cada canción que escucho puedo sentir una nueva historia que relata las luchas de muchas personas que tienen el deseo de poder existir y ser diferentes sin tener que ocultarlo a otros.

The lyrics of the song are very specific in telling the story of this young girl and although the chorus is a little repetitive I feel that it gives to understand the strength with which this girl wants to leave the environment in which she is and maybe moving to another place may be the best, a place where no one knows her and where she can start a new story, Yungblud is a very sensitive man and I feel that in every song I listen to I can feel a new story that tells the struggles of many people who have the desire to exist and be different without having to hide it from others.

Realmente no conocía mucho de la discografía de Yungblud, pero al comienzo me parecía un artista más que tenía canciones muy comerciales; sin embargo, ahora que he estado escuchando más de su música, puedo decir que tiene una pasión muy grande por lo que hace y realmente tiene una voz y una fuerza para inspirar a otros, sobre todo a las generaciones más jóvenes, a ser ellos mismos sin importar lo que otros piensen de ellos. Es de esos artistas que te inspiran a convertirte en una mejor versión de ti mismo y que a la vez te hacen sentir comprendido en un mundo como el que hoy habitamos.

I really didn't know much about Yungblud's discography, but at first he seemed like just another artist that had very commercial songs; however, now that I have been listening to more of his music, I can tell that he has a very strong passion for what he does and really has a voice and a strength to inspire others, especially the younger generation, to be themselves no matter what others think of them. He is one of those artists that inspire you to become a better version of yourself while making you feel understood in a world like the one we inhabit today.

Hoy en día hay pocos artistas que hacen música por pasión más que por dinero, y Yungblud demuestra que, aunque no es el artista con más números uno en estadísticas, tiene una forma especial de acercarse a sus fans y de escribir canciones que te hacen sentir profundamente el amor, miedos y dolor que cualquier ser humano pueda experimentar en la vida. He shows that we live in a world where being different is almost a crime and that, although it seems that our existence has no relevance,
we are unique and that is our power in this world.
