Back On Air
It was great to be back on air last Saturday on BassportFM with DJ Pi on the Platform Project and sharing our curated pick of 2 hours of liquid drum & bass tunes with you! We find the tunes, new or old, mix them together and guide you through the beautiful beats, sumptuous basslines and awesome atmospherics!
The format of the live show is a "digital back to back" where we take it in turns presenting our selection to you. The first 20 minutes is usually myself kicking things off, then we transition live on air during a track to DJ Pi for the next 20 minutes who transitions back to me and so on for the 2 hours. This time around, we mixed things up (literally) and asked each other a question before we transitioned over to the next with some really interesting results!
I put a post here and there asking for some random questions from you guys and gals and you didn't disappoint! We talked about how lockdown has affected our music activity, the 2,020 km challenge for United Against Dementia, pizza, ice cream and even toilet rolls! Alright, I'm not going to leave you in suspense any more! Here's the show:
Platform Project Time Machine
One thing we love doing at the Platform Project is hopping in to our time machine and winding the clock back to rediscover some favourites across the years! I usually reserve this for my 3rd section and we even ventured back to 1998 on one occasion! My favourite era is around the mid 2000s which is when a load of tunes helped get me through the dark times at Uni, I still play them from time to time, especially this year which has been pretty tumultuous for all of us!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the show, liquid drum and bass is more on the lighter, melodic side, whilst keeping the high energy of the drum beat pushing you through - I love it!
