𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙲𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚋𝚎𝚛𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜

Happy Tuesday to the #Music Community. Today I come to talk to you a little bit about a very special band for me that I like a lot even though they stopped being active when their vocalist passed away. It is about The Cranberries and no matter how old they are, for me it is a group that I classify as a classic of classics.

Feliz martes a la Comunidad de #Music. El día de hoy vengo a hablarles un poco sobre un grupo muy especial para mí que me gusta mucho, aunque dejó de estar activo cuando su vocalista falleció. Se trata de The Cranberries y sin importar los años que tengan, para mí es un grupo al cual clasifico de clásico de clásicos.

Their vocalist Dolores O'Riordan for me is a musical icon whose voice was so special and unique that to this day I have not heard anyone who reminds me of her or even comes close to her in talent. I remember when I heard of her passing, I was deeply affected by the unfortunate news.

Su vocalista Dolores O'Riordan para mí es un ícono musical cuya voz era tan especial y única que hasta el sol de hoy no he escuchado a nadie que me recuerde a ella o en su defecto se le acerque en talento. Recuerdo que cuando me enteré de su fallecimiento, me afectó mucho la lamentable noticia.

My favorite song of theirs is and will always be Zombie. A song that denotes a 90's rock style in all its splendor. In addition to a deep lyric that describes the injustice of wars, along with a video that turns out to be a work of art worthy of remembering and being honored.

Mi canción favorita de ellos es y será por siempre Zombie. Una canción que denota un estilo rockero de los años 90 en todo su esplendor. Además de conformarse por una letra profunda que describe la injusticia de las guerras, a la par con un video que resulta en todo como una obra de arte digna de recordar y ser homenajeada.

This group produced a total of 8 albums, the last one as a posthumous delivery after the sudden death of the vocalist the previous year. And well, each album for me is special, it marks a musical era and a stage of my life with very autobiographical and personal songs that anyone can identify with at the time.

Este grupo elaboró un total de 8 discos, el último como entrega póstuma tras el fallecimiento repentino de la vocalista el año anterior. Y bueno, cada disco para mí, es especial, marca una era musical y una etapa de mi vida con canciones muy autobiográficas y personales con las cuales cualquiera se puede identificar en su momento.

During the following years, many artists of the same genre have paid tribute to the singer by performing her most outstanding songs, letting the general public know how admired and esteemed she was in the music world. One of the interpretations that I liked the most, is that of Miley Cyrus and her version of Zombie.

Durante los siguientes años, muchos artistas del mismo género le han rendido homenaje a la cantante interpretando sus canciones más destacadas, dando a conocer al público en general lo admirada y estimada que era en el mundo musical. Una de las interpretaciones que más me ha gustado, es la de Miley Cyrus y su versión de Zombie.

It is unfortunate when an artist of this level suddenly leaves this plane. Leaving behind a legacy laden with much appreciation, affection and unique brand that transcends time no matter how many decades a song may be. Artists of this caliber, to me, are like shooting stars who come into this world to give their best in an extremely short period of time.

Es lamentable cuando un artista de este nivel abandona este plano de manera repentina. Dejando atrás un legado cargado de mucho aprecio, cariño y marca única que trasciende en el tiempo sin importar las décadas que tenga una canción. Artistas de este calibre, para mí son como estrellas fugases que llegan a este mundo para dar lo mejor de sí en un período de tiempo extremadamente corto.

While putting this post together for you, I learned that the artist suffered from Bipolar Personality, which generated sudden changes in her mood and moments of deep sadness that led her to depression. In 2013 she had a suicide attempt caused by a mental crisis that caused her bipolarity.

Armando este post para ustedes, me enteré de que la artista sufría de Personalidad Bipolar, lo que le generaba cambios repentinos en su estado de ánimo y a su vez de momentos sumidos en tristeza profunda que la llevaron a la depresión. En el 2013 tuvo un intento de suicidio causado por una crisis mental que le provocó su bipolaridad.

I can't really imagine what her life as an artist must have been like, but her songs, her musical style and above all the lyrics of each one of them, reflect a little of her personality, charisma and the emotions she experienced. Therefore, I can say that music helped her to remain stable and served as a support to express what she felt at certain moments.

La verdad no me imagino cómo debió ser su vida como artista, pero sus canciones, su estilo musical y sobre todo las letras de cada una de ellas, me reflejan un poco de su personalidad, carisma y emociones que experimentó. Por lo tanto, puedo decir que la música la ayudó a mantenerse estable y le sirvió de apoyo para expresar lo que sentía en ciertos momentos.

It is with groups like this that you get to see the magic that music has to offer. And although I would have liked to hear more from her for several more years, her band has actually paid tribute to her and continues to be united for her, as her guardian angel. In fact, they released a new album in 2021 called Recordando a Dolores with the most personal songs for her family that remind them of her at different stages of her life.

Es con grupos como este que logras ver la magia que ofrece la música. Y aunque me hubiese gustado escuchar más de ella por varios años más, su grupo, actualmente le ha rendido homenaje y continúan unidos por ella, como su ángel guardián. De hecho, sacaron un nuevo disco en el 2021 llamado Recordando a Dolores con las canciones más personales para su familia que le recuerdan a ella en diferentes etapas de su vida.

Knowing this detail for me makes this album more special. It is nice to see how her family and closest friends pay tribute to such a beautiful person that despite her personal problems, she leaves an indelible mark in the hearts of many that make her be remembered with much affection and appreciation.
