Endlich. Das zweite Album von *Idle Class*. Nachdem ihr Debut *The Drama´s Done *voll bei mir eingeschlagen hat, geht nun der Nachfolger *Of Glass and Paper* unter dem Label *Uncle M *an den Start. Die fünf Jungs aus Münster machen einfach direkt dort weiter, wo sie aufgehört haben, mit dem Unterschied, dass die Songs mehr variieren und facettenreicher geworden sind. Der Sound bleibt fett, dicht, auf die Zwölf. Die Stromgitarren hauen geile Riffs raus und der abwechselnde Gesang passt gut ins Konzept. Chorusgesangparts finden an den richtigen Stellen statt. Macht die Band eigentlich irgendwas falsch? Nein, machen sie nicht. Skipsongs? Fehlanzeige! Diese Platte gehört durchgehört. Wer sich ein Bild vom Livesound machen möchte, dem sei die Kaputtmacher Session aus dem Jahr 2014 ans Herz gelegt: | The sound remains fat, dense, goes to eleven. The electric guitars play great riffs and the alternating vocals fit well into the concept. Chorus vocals take place in the right places. Does the band do anything wrong? No, they don't. Skip-songs? | Dass die Band wenig falsch macht, lässt sich auch an der Aufmachung der Platte erkennen. Das Cover besteht aus stabiler angerauter Pappe und das Artwork ist schlichtweg schön. Das Vinyl ist silberfarbend und leicht marmoriert. Es gibt auch noch eine goldene Version. Die Innenhülle ist ebenfalls aus stabilem Material und beidseitig mit Texten bedruckt. Natürlich liegt ein Downloadcode bei. Für´n 5er mehr gibt es noch einen schönen Jutebeutel dazu. Ich finde man muss sich schon ganz schön anstrengen, um die diesem Release irgendetwas zu finden was scheisse ist. Mir ist diesbezüglich nichts aufgefallen. Das und die hohe Unterschiedlichkeit der Songs katapultiert Of Glass And Paper in meine Dauerrotation. Volle Punktzahl! Unbedingt anspielen: The Drama Continues, The Story Of How The King Died | You must work hard to find anything that sucks in this release. I haven't noticed anything in this respect.
