Greetings musician hivers and music lovers, César over here, member of the bands Postdata and, the one we'll focus on today, Formas, of which I am the keyboardist and I'll tell you about my experience in the Festival Nuevas Bandas Circuito Occidente.
For those who don't know, the Festival Nuevas Bandas is a festival that has been going on for more than 30 years, which has always supported the emerging talent of my country, Venezuela. Important national and international bands have emerged from this festival, such as Caramelos de Cianuro, Los Amigos Invisibles, Candy66, La Vida Boheme, Los Mesoneros, Rawayana, Viniloversus, Okills, among many other artists whose work I admire and follow. The importance of this festival lies in the media impulse that allows to promote careers, this due to the support of big sponsoring brands such as Pepsi, Polar, La Mega, among others.
For me, just by qualifying for the festival, it was already a dream come true, a dream that started from the moment we listened on the radio that we were in the festival, from there, we knew that there was a lot of work and things to refine for the show to take shape. It was many hours of rehearsal and preparation, a lot of difficult moments, nights without sleep, blood, sweat and tears.
But finally, the day arrived. The atmosphere at the festival was just that, a festival. There was joy, a lot of energy and excitement. But I'm not going to deny it, there was a lot of nervousness and anxiousness to get ready to play. We were in the backstage for a very long time, waiting for everything to be ready and trying to drain all our restlessness.
And suddenly, our moment arrived and we gave our best on stage, the days of preparation and rehearsal paid off, and the audience, it must be said, was a big part of making our show incredible.
We shared the stage with bands from the local scene, such as Jimbox, Umbilical and Adagio, who were also competing, as well as Los Delorean and Capitán Mostacho, winners of last year's festival. All of them were full of energy and passion on stage.
Finally came the moment in which they announced the winner, those final seconds before the announcement were consuming us inside, but when they said it, it turned out to be one of the happiest moments of my life. All the days of effort and years of being a musician (14 so far, in my case) made a lot of sense at that precise moment.
I am very happy to share with you my experience in one of the happiest days of my life, but there is still one more step to go: the grand finale in Caracas. At this moment we are making preparations for the trip, because we live in a city a little far from the capital, so we are collecting money, preparing pro-fund concerts, doing raffles and looking for sponsorships, all to be able to pay for our trip to the big capital.
For me, to be able to share my music to a massive audience, like the one in Caracas, is incredible, because a huge number of people will listen to my art, but to win, it would be amazing, since it would mean a boost for my career as a musician, and for that we are working very hard to give a show of the standard we need.

Saludos hivers músicos y melómanos, por acá César, integrante de las bandas Postdata y, la que en el día de hoy haremos foco, Formas, de la cual soy teclista y de la que les contaré mi experiencia en el Festival Nuevas Bandas Circuito Occidente
Para quién no sepa, el Festival Nuevas Bandas es un festival de más de 30 años de trayectoria, el cual siempre ha apoyado el talento emergente de mi país, Venezuela. De este festival han salido bandas importantes de talla nacional e internacional, como lo son Caramelos de Cianuro, Los Amigos Invisibles, Candy66, La Vida Boheme, Los Mesoneros, Rawayana, Viniloversus, Okills, entre muchos otros artistas los cuales admiro y sigo su trabajo. La importancia de este festival radica en el impulso mediático y que permite impulsar carreras, esto debido al apoyo de grandes marcas patrocinantes cómo lo son Pepsi, Polar, La Mega, entre otras
Para mí, solo con el hecho de clasificar al festival, ya era un sueño cumplido, sueño el cual empezó desde el momento en que nos enteramos en la radio que quedamos en el festival, a partir de ahí, supimos que se venía mucho trabajo y cosas que afinar para que el show agarrara FORMA (chiste fácil). Fueron muchas horas de ensayo y preparación, momentos difíciles, noches sin dormir, sangre, sudor y lágrimas.
Pero finalmente, llegó el día. El ambiente en el festival era de eso, un festival. Había alegría, mucho energía y emoción. Pero no sé los voy a negar, hubo mucho nerviosismo y ansias de ya querer montarnos a tocar. Estuvimos en el camerino un muy buen rato, esperando a que todo estuviera listo e intentando drenar toda nuestra intranquilidad.
Y de pronto, llegó nuestro momento, lo dimos todo en el escenario, los días de preparación y ensayo dieron sus frutos y el público,cabe decir, fue gran parte de que nuestro show saliera increíble.
Compartimos tarima con bandas de la escena local, cómo lo son Jimbox, Umbilical y Adagio, los cuales también estaban concursando, además de Los Delorean y Capitán Mostacho, ganadores del festival del año pasado. Todos derrocharon energía y pasión en el escenario.
Finalmente vino el momento en el cual anunciaron el ganador, esos segundos finales antes del anuncio, nos estuvieron consumiendo por dentro, pero cuando lo dijeron, resultó en uno de los momentos más felices de mi vida. Todos los días de esfuerzo y además de los años siendo músico (14 hasta el momento, en mi caso) cobraron mucho sentido en ese preciso instante.
Yo estoy muy feliz de compartirles mi experiencia en uno de los días más felices de mi vida, pero todavía queda un paso más: la gran final en Caracas. En este momento estamos haciendo los preparativos para el viaje, debido a que vivimos en una ciudad un poco apartada de la capital, debido a eso estamos haciendo recolectas, preparando conciertos pro fondo, haciendo rifas y buscando patrocinios, todo para poder costear nuestro viaje a la gran capital.
Para mí, ya con poder compartir mi música en un público masivo, cómo lo es el de Caracas, es increíble, debido a que una inmensidad de gente que escucharán mi arte, pero ganar, sería increíble, dado que significaría un impulso para mi carrera cómo músico, y para ello estamos trabajando muy duro para dar un show de la talla que necesitamos.
