Guitar Hero if I were to say was the biggest influence why I begins to be a fan of rock music next to the Tony Hawk games and also introduces me to many Rock bands from different eras and for which I started to hear more of their songs, the more I begin to love them so fotr this weeks ttt, I would like to feature bands that I discover from Guitar Hero, starting with the Dragonforce.
DragonForce - Through the Fire and Flames
For my 1st song, I have chosen Through Fires and Flames which if I remember right was was a Guitar Hero Bonus song that can be only unlocked by buying it at the game store after finishing the career mode and I remember failing a hell lot because right of the beginning the song, you will be barrage by a way of button to press which will carry on until the end.
As for the actual video, it was a great ride giving each band members some exposure but the guitar solos were quite a feast on both eyes and ears specially during the last part were they show guitar close up. The song was also contains quite powerful message that encourage us to carry on and never give up against difficult situation, hence, "Through Fire and Flames we carry on!"
DragonForce - Operation Ground And Pound
The next son on my list was Operation Ground and Pound which were quite longer but the buttons were quite easier to follow and has parts were I can rest with fewer buttons to press.
As for the music video, they have cut the intro from the Guitar hero so this one was shorter but I kinda like that they started with the drums. The setting was quite ambitious being it having enormous space battleships pounding the ground with lightning bolts while also having guitar duel that they made it look like they were playing video game and controlling the characters inside.
DragonForce - Heroes Of Our Time
The last song, Heroes of Our Time also has a cut content on their music video when I compared it to the original so I believe it was also longer on Guitar Hero but their video here were cleared and the guitar solos were amazing and were clearer. I also think that the button for this song were not that hard to play on Guitar Hero and don't find much difficulty playing it.
About my interpretation of the song was that to reach our goals, we may need to make sacrifices and we need to stand against the odds to reach our dreams.
