Looks like its another #threetunetuesday again hosted by @ablaze
This time I'll feature a few of my favorite songs by Dream Theater. Pull me under is probably their most famous song. They kind of emerged on the scene when hair metal was just phasing out and prog rock was starting to become a thing. All the musicians are epic in this band and most have solo projects that were amazing for their time too.
Dream Theater often got criticized by my friends at work for having abnormally long songs. When it was my turn to get to control the music I would put them on for a bit of annoyance. Crazy long song time probably also ate into their radio play time as stations want to just have a four minute song then move onto an ad. But I kind of like these types of songs that go on forever.
When they came out with this song I was finally able to catch them in concert at the Metro in Chicago. Since then I've been to at least five other concerts as they've released new records. These days they kind of do rock ballads and less metal so I haven't been to one of their concerts in a while. I tend to prefer their older works as it give me some nostalgia.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
