I don't play video games but I do enjoy Mick Gordon's soundtracks. Here are a few of my favs for this #threetunetuesday by @ablaze
This one has elements of cinema and old school metal in it. It goes well of course with the video game but I'm too old to play them anymore lol.
Here is one that is more atmospheric with a bit of an ominous creepy vibe. I'm sure there is some horrific thing you have to battle while this is playing.
This one is nice and djenty. You can tell Mick Gordon was doing his best to not have the guitars sound like guitars. Probably direction from the game makers, so he ends up recording bass then mangles it to death with various recording techniques to make it sound more electronic. The basic composure is that of early 2000s djent metal though.
These doom soundtracks have become quite popular, there is even a plugin available that helps you compose in this style on your midi keyboard. (costs more than the game lol)
Maybe when it goes on sale even more and the fad has died down I might get it just to be called a boomer.
