It's that time again, the first day of the month. Better known as Hive Power Up Day! I had planned on doing a large power up but some other items popped up this week so I was forced to do the minimum 10 Hive power up. So before we jump into the rest of the post, here's my power up for #HPUD .
It's also happens to be Friday again which means it's time for another edition of Nineties Friday. For those unfamiliar with it, this is an event that comes around each Friday where you can create a post to share just about anything from the 1990's. It's a lot of fun, just use the tag #ninetiesfriday and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to @geneeverett . He started the event and someone usually walks away with some HSBI units! You can never have too many of those!
Today feels like a good day to talk about a couple big name celebrities we lost last week. Both had an enduring presence into the 1990's. First of course is Ozzy, but also Hulk Hogan. Both were larger than life individuals and filled with charisma.
Hulk Hogan

Born Terry Gene Bollea in 1953, this legend started his wrestling career in 1977. He shot to stardom in 1983 when he joined the World Wrestling Federation. He helped popularize professional wrestling in the 1980's and into the the 1990's a long with wrestling greats like André the Giant.
In 1994 he joined the World Heavyweight Championship and won six times making him a solid 90's icon. Sadly he passed away of a heart attack, may the Hulk rest in peace.
Ozzy Osbourne
With the passing of Ozzy last week it only felt right to include him in this week's Nineties Friday. He was still writing music in the 1990's and much of it was really good. Today I thought I would share a couple off his 1991 album No More Tears, first up is "Mama I'm Coming Home":
And next up the title tract from the album, this one is "No More Tears" performed live. He really was an extraordinary showman in his live performances!
A fond farewell to Ozzy as well, may he rest in peace!
Now for some more 90's music!
Foo Fighters
I know I share these guys a lot, but they're an awesome band. Formed in Seattle, Washington this legendary band puts on a great live show. Here's "Monkey Wrench" written in the 90's but this one is live from Wembley Stadium in 2008.
Shakira
I've been a fan of hers since 1995, although I must admit I don't like her recent music nearly as much as her old material. This song is off her fourth album Donde Estan los Ladrones? (Where are the Thieves?) from 1998. This is "Ojos Asi" (Eyes Like Yours) live to finish up on a fun vibe!
That will wrap up this #ninetiesfriday , I hope you enjoyed. Please feel free to leave any questions or comments below. As always, thank you so much for all of your support, and have a great weekend everyone!
