I have been a woodwind player for 9 years, I have never played brass instruments in my life, until 2 days ago when I started playing trombone at the Banda Show School "Artemisa" in the company of a cousin who is a drum major. My entry into this Banda family was quite "peculiar" so to speak, my cousin came up with the idea of taking me to one of their rehearsals, she told her director that I played wind instruments and well, what do you think? They gave me a non-transposing tenor trombone😆🎶.
Desde hace 9 años soy instrumentista de viento madera, nunca en mi vida he tocado instrumentos de viento metal, hasta hace 2 días que empecé a tocar Trombon en la Escuela Banda Show "Artemisa" en compañía de una prima que es tambor mayor. Mi entrada en esta familia de Banda fue bastante "peculiar " por así decirlo, a mí prima se le ocurrio la idea de llevarme a unos de sus ensayos, ella le comentó a su director que yo tocó instrumentos de viento y pues ¿que creen ? me dieron un trombón tenor no transpositor😆🎶

Our rehearsals are on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 🫠🫠 As a band we also do pre-military shows and we train like this, the percussion goes in the back, then the lyres and brass, drum major, baton players and finally the dancers.
Nuestros ensayos son los sábados de 8:00 a.m a 3:00 p.m 🫠🫠 como banda shows también hacemos pre - militar y nos formamos asi, la percusión va atrás, después las liras y viento metal, tambor mayor, batuteras y finalmente las bailarinas.
My second day as a trombonist and I already had to put together like 20 songs hahaha 😆🙃 although I saved myself since the caution was a bit rusty and they had to work harder than my company 😆.
Mi segundo día como trombonista y ya tenía que montar como 20 canciones ajajja 😆🙃 aunque me salve ya que la precaución estaba algo oxidada y les toco mas trabajo que a mí compañía 😆

In the band there are children in the percussion company as well as the dance company, they are all super dedicated.
En la banda hay niños en la compañía de percusión al igual que la de danza, todos son super aplicados
And well here is the company of the Lyres and brass, in this part there are only teenagers from 15 years old and up, all excellent musicians and very good companions 🎶✨
Y bueno aquí está la compañía de las Liras y viento metal, en esta parte solo hay adolescentes de 15 años en adelante, todos excelentes músicos y muy buenos compañeros 🎶✨

Being in this type of bands is a very good and new experience, in my case it is quite shocking since I specialized in chamber music and moving to this style and instrument is a challenge, the truth is, but the company of my new companions is quite recommendable, starting a new cycle is quite good for a change ✨🎶.
Estar en este tipo de bandas es una experiencia demasiado buena y nueva, en mi caso es bastante impactante ya que me especializó en música de cámara y pasar a este estilo e instrumento es un reto la verdad, pero la compañia de mis nuevos compañeros es bastante recomendable, iniciar un nuevo ciclo está bastante bien para variar ✨🎶
