Schon länger keine DJ Talents mehr vorgestellt - hier was aus Germany - Helena ist aus Hamburg, nicht neu und recht erfolgreich auch als Producer, Hamburg hatte ich nie auf dem Schirm für Techno. Ihr Style ist auch anders - ich kann es mir gut anhören - aber mir fehlen bisserl die Bässe und dass mein Magen animiert wird durch die Beats - aber cool zum Arbeiten nebenbei - was sagen die richtigen Experten? Sympathisch, dass Helena wohl Fokus auf Musik legt und nicht auf Social Media Präsenz - das folgende Vido in deutscher Sprache find ich mega, erklärt vieles und macht Lust auf mehr

Intro to a Hamburg DJ
Helena is active since several years - she is not that present on social media hence maybe not that famous as the usual DJ crowd from Germany. Her style is also a bit different - she DJs and is also record producer - seems Hamburg Techno has other style to what we know from other hot spots such as Berlin or Frankfurt. Her USPs might be based on her own style of "stripped-down techno and electro tracks" that are recorded using strictly analog equipment - all influenced by various genres such as acid house, EBM and industrial music.
As usual when I am not sure I ask the guru of Techno about his opinion @edje and my producer buddy @andyjaypowell - she is active since 15 years and playing a lot festivals and knowns clubs:

I more and more get used to it while writing :-). Her academic background is also interesting being student of many subjects from physics to systematic music sciences to fine arts.
What I love the entry video in German about her story, the anolog stuff, synthesizer devices - she is defintiely a specially lady - she jams, records and then edits her sounds.
