Ich war Anfang der 80er echt offen stelle ich fest - Foreigner klar! Dann meine davor Sachen Abba/Boney M - aber auch Madonna - ich habe 1983 eine Music Cassette gekauft von Madonna, das war vor "Like a Virgin" und hab mich verliebt - Sound war cool und die Dame sah heiss aus - nach dem ersten Album "Madonna" und der dann folgenden Erfolgsgeschichte hab ich alles gekauft bis Ende der 80er - ich hab sogar T-Shirts und ein Sweatshirt mit Bügel Motiv Madonna von meiner Oma machen lassen - es sah Scheisse aus und leider hab ich das Ding nicht mehr, aber Madonna war und ist cool - Album 1 war einfach Hammer mit Holiday, Borderline etc
Madonna - my early addiction (maybe something for @theworldaroundme :-)?
If you know me, you know i am into Techno, I am also into Rock/Metal since my youth -before all that I learned pop stuff from Boney M, Abba etc and liked it (still do) - hence I see more and more how broad my music taste is indeed. Madonna special one - I bought music cassette album "Madonna" incl. Holiday / Borderline" before she became world famous one year late with "Like a Virgin". I then fell a bit in love, bought T-Shirts and created with granny a special shirt with her face (looked shit, i do not have that anymore but i felt in love).
So in a nutshell - Madonna was and is a great artist - mayn say she has not the best voice (true dat) but she is one of the few singers that made it from nothing - Italian heritage, no money - love for music and dance and she tried it - ok she had luck to find (actually was her boyfriend that time) John "Jellybean" Benitez who produced / re-vamped her first sounds. Rest is history

She the became world famous
Why? Well she is special - bit kinky and doing what she wanted - and after first success she became THE popstar - did not like all songs then but a lot entered my heart - you can listen to in the following (special songs to me been "Into the Groove" and after years "Hung Up" with the Abba moments).
