So far I'm on the fence about the bots…
On one point I have found some superb content by auto voting behind good curators, although a couple curators I found didn't benefit much of anything except the .001hp reward lol and if hive is going for quality posts that is not the way I would guess.
I also see on the other hand with good leadership that can be very beneficial in creating a demand for authors to create competition quality for the higher quality umm "voting pools'? That pull interested investment opportunities for those who pull for reputable sources.
Over time, I would think with a bit of a decent marketing campaign targeting audiences on non paid platforms and enticing them with payouts that autobots may have their place among the haters.
Easy to follow cartoony guides for people who have no idea how the blockchain works, making it feel more accessible would be in the interest of those who work to grow their audience and maintain their attention to quality captive.
Maybe things don't need to be cartoony but I personally have found it challenging working through blindly around Hive without much of an idea of what crypto is.. Most of what I learn is through the games and discord which help a lot for sure figure out processes and how to do simple exchange.
I imagine the feeling of following a well maintained curator trail can be like maintaining a magazine subscription but better cause you get paid to read through what you helped support
