Romantic relationships are very complex because a powerful feeling called love is involved. This feeling is capable of elevating you to a level where you are able to tolerate what you once considered intolerable, until the routine begins and you begin to see more clearly the person's flaws. In matters of romance I am very cautious, I know that being in love can do us a lot of good but it also puts us in a position of vulnerability because we have given our heart to another person and this is a two-edged sword.
I am a minimalist and beyond everything that has to do with clutter and owning unnecessary things, I place a lot of value on feelings and the little things that make me happy, even though many of these things are provided to me by maximalist people. I say this because of my beloved father, he has the habit of keeping and keeping and I have the habit of throwing and throwing things away, however, my dad is extremely attentive, loving, detailed and with a great human sensitivity, so this overshadows the differences we have had for everything he keeps.
In a romantic relationship I don't consider it a deal breaker if my future husband becomes a maximalist as long as he possesses qualities such as empathy, kindness, generosity, a deep love of nature and of course makes me feel loved. It's a matter of weighing the pros and cons. I'm not going to lie, even if this person appears and I love him intensely, I will still get upset if he turns my house into a crossroads, however, if he has the qualities I mentioned above I will tolerate the disorder and I will try to help him to adapt a little to my style, even a little bit, and as he will love me a lot he will give in.
It should be noted that if his love for me is weak, I will have a hard time because it will not be easy to find that point of mediation, for that reason, if I start dating someone I will strive to be very observant to detect if that love is weak. If I detect that it is in this way, I hope to have the determination to put an end to such dating so as not to get to something serious and reap frustrations and heartaches.
I remember some time ago I had a friend with whom a romantic relationship was apparently brewing but I noticed that he was like a robot. He was extremely organized and so focused on his projects that he wouldn't even stop to look at a pretty flower and the worst part was that when I did, his facial expression was like that was silly. Despite being organized he didn't enjoy my spontaneity much less his, so what good was someone so organized and focused that he looked like a walking agenda if he didn't show qualities that were important to me. Fortunately I saw that in time and discarded that person. I respect him but I know I would not be happy with him, I want a human being, not a robot, even if it is extremely organized.
It is necessary to keep an eye on these situations and avoid that sentimentality plays a bad trick on us. If I find the man with the characteristics described above, I will tolerate that he is disorganized and with love I will guide him, just as he will guide me in aspects in which I fail, for that we will be a team. In the meantime I live quietly, tolerating my dad and my mom who, despite being maximalist in some aspects, have a heart bigger than the moon.
