When I was a little girl, my family and I had few resources, several siblings and we only had my father to support us all, although he tried very hard there were many things we could not have, I did not care a bit about this, I was happy with little things like playing with my brothers, without caring about clothes or anything else. But as I got older I began to care, I felt like I should give all my children everything that I had lacked, without realizing that there was so much more to give them and teach them.
After a long time of hard work and searching for many assets, I learned very important things that have completely changed my life, I learned that the simpler our life is, the more tranquility and freedom we have to focus on what is really important. I am 59 years old and I spent my youth thinking that to be well you have to have a comfortable life, only to realize that nothing is more comfortable than having only what is necessary and nothing more.

From that moment, I appreciated many things that I have taught my children, the little things that life gives us and what we can do with that is what has more value, we do not focus on having very expensive things of recognized brands, we respect those who do, but for example we have learned to make our own clothes, to reuse things and to observe and admire nature, it is great because although we have little, our house is always surrounded by people who want to spend time with us.
We focus more on helping others, maybe not in an economic sense, but listening and supporting are things that are worth much more, giving useful advice that helps other people to have a happier and calmer life is something that brings happiness to ourselves, of course we all at home work, but no longer with the mentality of wanting more and more things, but to simply sustain us, this has made us spend much more quality time together and learn many useful skills, which have served us in times of crisis. The simpler our life is, the less ties we will have and therefore the freer we will feel.

Perhaps this is a little difficult, because the world teaches us from a young age that we must have many things to feel good, or our own experience tells us that because we had little in childhood, then we suffer, when it is not necessarily so, not everyone who has everything is happy and not everyone who has nothing, He is happy who learns to live without so many material things or without the desire to have everything, because he has learned that there are much more important and valuable things, such as satisfying our spiritual needs, something that I personally think is not achieved by having too much money or too many expensive things, but by paying attention to what is really important.
