When reading the #KISS idea of the week I could only think of one person, who from my tender age I saw struggle hard with any situation that came her way, my mother, having her example in the moments that were most difficult in her life, was something that I not only saw, but also learned and that were worked into valuable lessons that have helped me at all times, I am very grateful to my mom for adapting to any new circumstance and for teaching me to do it to me as well.
I consider myself a resilient person, I believe that this is one of the most valuable skills that human beings can develop, because we live in a world where the only stable thing is constant change, thanks to the example of my parents and the different things I saw them face with a good attitude, I was learning little by little to do it too.
When an economic crisis affected the whole country of Venezuela, all the inhabitants of the country experienced several abrupt changes, lack of food, lack of jobs and the non-existence of basic products and basic necessities, this caused many to leave the country looking for the best solution, for my part, neither my family nor I had the resources to leave the country to work, the landscapes were constant and among other important things we considered.

I saw how many friends left and I saw my family getting thinner and thinner because what we ate was less and less, this was a hard situation and I not only felt tired but also sad, and it was at that moment when I decided that I had to adapt to this new situation and reinvent myself "being strong was the only option".
There was not much money to invest, but with a package of coffee and a pack of disposable cups, I began to sell coffee in the streets, sometimes accompanied by my sister or sometimes alone, although this was something that at first filled me with sorrow and it was difficult for me to approach to sell to people, little by little I lost my fear and there was always a person willing to take one of my coffees.
Of course this did not make me a millionaire, it was not what I was looking for either, but it did help us to be able to pay our expenses, to have enough to buy what we needed, and to feel a little better emotionally too, because knowing how to adapt to new circumstances and reinvent ourselves to find new solutions, is something that also helps you to not allow other negative emotions to take over you.

They say that in hard times, we become strong and that is true, I constantly meditate on that situation I went through and I come to the conclusion that, perhaps if this had not happened I would not have had the opportunity to grow and develop as I should the ability to be resilient, to adapt and reinvent myself to move forward.
I wish I had done it earlier, maybe as soon as the crisis started, but I did it and that is the important thing, this helped me when the pandemic started a few years ago, because having dealt with this terrible crisis since 2016, it prepared me for the world crisis we are going through in 2020 due to covid-19, so experiences always leave us with positive things that we can use later.
There are people still going through this and I can only invite them not to allow their thoughts and feelings to be stronger, emotions can weaken us a lot so, even with tears in our eyes, we must stand up and ask ourselves what can I do to reinvent myself? How can I accept my new circumstances and take advantage of what they are going to teach me?
This is difficult, I know, but it is something worth doing, after all we will experience many changes in life and learning to deal with them from the very beginning is something that will help us for the following times.
