Hello, photography lovers! Today I bring you chapter 19 with several photographic exercises that I did on the site 52frames during 2022, my third year there. I hope you find them interesting!
Hola, amantes de la fotografía! Hoy les traigo el capítulo 19 con varios ejercicios fotográficos que hice en el sitio 52frames durante el 2022, mi tercer año ahí. Espero que les resulten interesantes!
Week 7, 2022: Unexplored / Inexplorado
The place I visited that week turned out to be unexplored, I had to do a session with a friend's parents, she wanted me to portray her father repairing the broken things that friends and neighbors brought him.
Resultó inexplorado el lugar que visité esa semana, tuve que hacerle una sesión a los padres de una amiga, ella quiso que retratara a su papá reparando las cosas rotas que le traen amigos y vecinos.
Week 8, 2022: Rule of thirds / Regla de los tercios
I love going to the boardwalk to practice the rule of thirds. There is always a solitary person with whom to compose an image.
Me encanta ir al malecón a practicar la regla de los tercios. Siempre hay una persona solitaria con la que componer una imagen.
Week 9, 2022: Reflections / Reflejos
I went to the coast at low tide looking for still waters and lots of reflections, instead I found a small swell and a lone heron. So this time I was able to capture reflections, but not very sharp ones. I opted for minimalism to give value to the image.
Fui a la costa con la marea baja en busca de aguas quietas y muchos reflejos, en cambio me topé con un pequeño oleaje y una solitaria garza. Así que esta vez pude capturar reflejos, pero no muy definidos. Opté por un minimalismo para darle valor a la imagen.
Week 10, 2022: Low key / Clave baja
Some healthy and healthy peppers against a black background in the light of my flash, a few drops of water on the skins to give it more freshness.
Unos pimientos sanos y saludables contra un fondo negro a la luz de mi flash, unas gotas de agua en las pieles para darle más frescor.
Week 11, 2022: An activity / Una actividad
I love my tablet. It saved me from millions of mouse clicks, therefore, my arm and tendons really appreciated the help. I placed my black fabric on the dining table, set the external flash almost in front of the camera and tilting in certain angle towards my hand. My left hand was controlling my d850 via snapbridge and triggered through it. Then, I darkened a bit more, and supressed the unwanted details of the fabric.
Amo mi tableta. Me salvó de millones de clics del mouse, por lo tanto, mi brazo y mis tendones realmente apreciaron la ayuda. Coloqué mi tela negra sobre la mesa del comedor, coloqué el flash externo casi frente a la cámara e inclinándolo en cierto ángulo hacia mi mano. Mi mano izquierda controlaba mi d850 a través de Snapbridge y lo disparaba. Luego oscurecí un poco más y suprimí los detalles no deseados de la tela.
Week 12, 2022: Long shutter / Exposición larga
When I arrived at the breakwater it was starting to rain, the wind was blowing hard from the sea, adding more droplets over my equipment. Put my camera on the tripod, nd64 filter attached, and shot a dozen of photos. I didn't use my remote, just pushed the button firmly and waited for the best. The results: only two photos were -not great, but- aceptable. Lesson learned, I was worried about everything else but my shots, the reason why I was there. SO...better go back than compromise my equipment if I can't concentrate myself on the primary reason. Not that long shutter, but slow enough I think.
Cuando llegué al espigón empezaba a llover, el viento del mar soplaba fuerte, añadiendo más gotas sobre mi equipo. Puse mi cámara en el trípode, con el filtro nd64 adjunto y tomé una docena de fotografías. No usé mi control remoto, solo presioné el botón con firmeza y esperé lo mejor. Los resultados: sólo dos fotos fueron -no muy buenas, pero sí- aceptables. Lección aprendida, estaba preocupado por todo lo demás menos por mis fotos, la razón por la que estaba allí. Así que... mejor regresar que comprometer mi equipo si no puedo concentrarme en la razón principal. No es una exposición tan larga, pero creo que fue lo suficientemente lenta.
Some photos correspond better than others to each challenge posed...I will embrace imperfection!
