Hi there! This is my first post here! My name is Emile, and I’ve been taking photos for over 18 years.
Recently, I had a really long hiatus from photography. I mean, I took a lot of photos with my phone and posted them to Stories on Instagram—I even received a badge for posting 2,500 Stories over the past four years. But it became too easy, and it’s not a meaningful practice. When I went through all my photos from 2024 on my phone, there were so few good shots that I felt depressed. Only 40 were okay, but none were truly great. So I grabbed my big, heavy DSLR and started using it again. I’m thinking of taking photos every day and posting them on Hive and Rodeo to see which platform works better.
I’ve already posted them on Rodeo, Instagram, Bluesky, and X. On Bluesky, there’s some activity, which surprised me because I barely use it. Instagram is fine — most of my friends are there, and I post almost daily. For the next 30 days, I’ll experiment with posting across different platforms to see what happens.
