How are you today? Hopefully we are all in good condition and of course stay healthy and active by continuing to apply health protocols.
In this post I want to share some photos of Skipper (butterfly) that I found in several different locations. Among them are in rural bushes and also in forest areas of Lhokseumawe City, Aceh, Indonesia.
Skipper itself is a family Lepidoptera (moths and butterflies) named Hesperiidae. It's just that they are generally known as a species of butterfly because some parts are not like moths.
Characteristically this butterfly has the ability to fly very agile than the usual butterfly, when we hunt this type of insect we can often lose track of it because of its very fast flying ability.
In addition, this skipper is commonly found flying playing on small flowering plants. This is of course because the nectar content in flowers is very favored by butterflies and hoverfly insect species.
Meanwhile, in terms of color, skipper has a variety of colors. Some are yellow, brown and some are brownish black. And below I have uploaded some photos of the skipper I mean. Here are some photos:
