I realize that "senior photos" in the US are somewhat unique. When I speak to others about the concept from other countries, they often think of the elderly crowd...and don't get me wrong, I think that could be pretty cool as well (sometime we will discuss "legacy videos/photoshoots")!
Here in the US, it is pretty common from graduating seniors from high school to get photos commemorating the end of one era and on to another era of college/university. Yes, they sometimes do it again at college graduation, but on a smaller scale.
This is Emma and she waited a bit longer to get her photos. Feeling a bit uncomfortable in front of the camera at first, we quickly got her past that feeling. It's amazing how taking just a few shots, then showing them a few photos in the camera makes them feel at ease. The confidence of knowing you aren't going to make them look silly or foolish really helps put them at ease. We call it the warm up phase.
After that, Emma had a blast and was ready to trust whatever we wanted to do to get great photos...which honestly was just for her to be herself. She's fantastic! Enjoy some more B&W's. At some point, I'll share some of the color photos as well because they are pretty amazing also.
