Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to share some black and white pictures from the corn maze that we went to recently!

Corny Monochrome Monday
Corn mazes are one of those interesting activities that I get to do with my son in the autumn time of year, as many people do. I never really liked corn mazes as a kid for whatever reason, maybe because I didn't really get to go to these places like my son does now. At any rate though, now that I'm just an older kid, I get to enjoy them now, and with an actual kid! LOL
The corn maze we went to is one we've been to in the past, and thankfully they make some adjustments to it every year which is nice. This year they made the maze a little more complicated which was definitely enjoyable! The corn is all feeder corn, it's not corn fit for human consumption which is fine. That means people can't steal the corn though, which is the important part lol
The day was beautiful! It was a nice clear, mildly warm day and we got to enjoy a number of things while we were out there. The maze didn't have that many people in it which was good because sometimes, all you can hear are people in the different directions and it kind of ruins a little bit of the fun for me. I like to have to figure out where I am going instead of using the people nearby as clues. If it was an important scenario, those clues could certainly come in handy but for something fun like this, it's better to have suspense in my opinion!
The little man was enjoying himself which was the most important part. I'm glad that he's a good sport and partner with me in all of these things, it ends up being a great time.
What is cool is how the corn and overall atmosphere looks in black and white. It certainly reminds me of an old horror movie from the early 40's or 50's where the film wasn't in color yet. It really makes it spooky! Thankfully in real-life, the maze was nothing scary at all and was quite enjoyable! I let the little man lead me in the mazes, which he enjoys being the leader of the pack haha. I remember the way that wolves act, where the alpha male stays in the back so that the others can move on ahead. Kind of reminds me of that in a way!
I enjoyed turning some of these photos into black and white! I love how the shadows play across things and make them more mysterious and old looking.
