Follow me on a tour through the dark casemates of Dresden Fortress.

History
Dresden Fortress was built from 1545 by Duke Moritz of Saxony, the guy on the left, and was one of the most modern fortifications in Europe at the time.
In 1707, Elector Augustus the Strong got Johann Friedrich Böttger imprisoned in the fortress until he fulfilled his promise to make gold. The production of gold is still "difficult" today, but in 1708 Böttcher nevertheless found something special: he discovered the first recipe for European porcelain.
The fortress later got militarily worthless and it was decided to take it down in 1809. The museum, which we will now visit, is located in the remaining parts. We take a multimedia trip through the centuries. Unfortunately only with photos. When you are there, you can feel history. More insights can be found here: festung-xperience.com
