I knew I had a love for cars, but I can't believe it took me so long to finally start doing car spotting posts like this one. I you haven't already seen, I created this collection which has all of my car spotting posts in one easy-to-find area. If you are like me and love cars, there is plenty to see.
This cycle continues as today I have ten more cars to share with you that I've seen around town while driving in my own car. These are all cars that I have discovered in the wild and taken photos of myself using my iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Let's get into it...
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C7)
This car is an absolute monster. It may just look like another C7, but the unique badging tells otherwise. If you know much about Corvettes, then you know the Z06 is a massive step above the base Corvette. This one in particular has a 650 hp supercharged 5.2L V8. It does 0-60 in under 4 seconds and looks damn good doing so, especially in this Accelerate Yellow Metallic color. I spotted this thing while driving down the road and made sure to roll up on it on my way back through that area. Luckily, it was parked and there was nobody in sight so I was able to get some excellent photos of it. You may even notice the lens flare on the chrome wheels in one of the photos. This is actually a real flare caused by the sun, that's how shiny those things were.
Porsche Cayenne S
This Porsche SUV may only be an S model, but a Porsche is still a Porsche. It still sports a 434 hp engine and that's plenty to get up and go. Sure it pales in comparison to the 453 hp GTS and especially the 541 hp Turbo model, but I still couldn't help but be excited to see it. I ended up finding out who drives it and what do you know, it was a woman in her 50s. Way to make me sick.
Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 AMG
I always see this SUV parked in my garage. I picked the worst time to finally photograph it as it was filthy. I don't see how you could have a car this nice and not keep it clean 24/7, but that's just me I guess. You may see AMG and think wow this thing must be super fast. It's not slow, but it only has 385 hp, which is a lot less than the Porsche above. It is slightly smaller though, so maybe that weight savings makes them even in terms of performance.
BMW M340i
This is another car that I always see parked in my garage. I see some Middle Eastern guy driving it around all of the time. I used to see him at the gym occasionally, but he must not know how to remain consistent because I haven't seen him there in many months. One thing I do have to give him props for though is his car. It is well kept and its rims are not all scuffed up. Rare to find for a daily driver, especially here in WV. That blue color just does it for me. It may not be an M3, but the M340i is still a really dope car.
Honda CB1100
Another motorcycle that I know absolutely nothing about. The red around the rim of the tire had me thinking it was probably a performance model though. Sadly for this guy, he parked in a no-parking zone and I watched the garage worker give him a big fat ticket. I wish I could have stopped him because he was just trying to protect his bike, but there was nothing I could do. If you know anything about motorcycles, tell me if this one is any good.
Subaru WRX STI
The STI seems to be the go-to car for guys who just got their first big military check. They are everywhere, but that doesn't stop them from being cool cars to me. The deep rumble of a Subaru exhaust note is something I'll always love. This one in particular stands out somewhat thanks to the custom grille on the front. It sucks that Subaru is finally putting the STI to rest and will no longer be producing new models.
Mini Cooper S
This car isn't all that special, but my goodness is that color gorgeous. If I could choose my car to be any color, I'm pretty sure that I'd choose Mini's Caribbean Aqua Metallic. Just by the name alone, I can tell it is the perfect color for me. I parked right next to this car and spent several minutes basking in the glory of that aqua color.
Audi Q3
I am a huge fan of Audi, this mostly stems from the fact that I drove an A4 for 9.5 years. I looked at a Q3 a few months ago, but they are just way too small for me, but I still love how they look. This Pulse Orange color is by far the best-looking Q3 that I've seen. It is made even cooler by the custom Euro-style front license plate. It's rare that you see that kind of plate here in the States and I guess that is what makes it seem so awesome to me. I'm guessing the owner was going for an Orange Crush vibe, which they totally nailed.
Audi A4
Just when I said that Euro-style front plates were rare around here, I saw two in one day. Both cars were Audi, but this time it was the A4 which I know very well from experience. This silver and black combo was looking super clean. Even though it's just an A4 and not an S4 or RS4, I will always respect a clean Audi.
Toyota Camry TRD
Last on today's list is this over-the-top Camry TRD. These things remind me of the Civic Type-R a lot due to the fact that both have super aggressive styling. By that I mean a crazy body kit and big wing. You may not think of the Camry as a performance car, but don't be fooled, this TRD is pretty fun to drive I bet. I was in love with the Calvary Blue body color. This may not be my favorite hue of blue, but I love all shades of blue at least somewhat. I used to laugh at the TRD, but really it is about on the same 300 hp level as my MKZ, so I respect it now and think they look pretty cool.
That concludes another car spotting adventure. I really do enjoy showing off all of the cool cars that I see in my city. I know a lot of you all live in places where it is rare to see high-performance cars. I hope that my sharing of these photos allows you to get some of the joy that I am lucky to experience when seeing unique cars on the road.
Drop a comment and let me know which ride is your favorite this time.
