This is the “Kool” Kootenay river, as it flows southward near the 93 south highway, inside Kootenay National Park, British Columbia. Not only is this river cool to gaze upon, but heaven forbid you fall in and find out exactly how cold it really is! Mostly glacially fed water will be cold, cold, cold. Perhaps some kayaking would be a super fun experience around here or even a canoe. Don’t forget to wear a life jacket. Photos taken near the paint pots hiking area.
