Ever heard of a log flume? Neither did I (or maybe you did), until coming to this lake. Well, I’ve seen videos of logs making their way down rivers, funnelled by a flotation water system, but never knew it was called a “flume”. Kinda of a strange word. The first picture shows you part of the flume, which is right beside the lake, Cooper Lake. They say it was operational in the 1920’s or so, but it didn’t actually look or appear to be that old for some reason. It was odd. Then we stumbled across different bones lying around, also odd. Finally, a lake outhouse, which seemed out of place, as this lake was like a ghost town. Maybe it is a ghost lake now.
