Fingers Crossed

This will be my third time growing mushrooms. The first time, I grew Golden Teachers using the monotub method and that grow went perfect. I got so many mushrooms from it. My second attempt didn't go as well. The grain bag got contaminated and I had to throw it out. That experience pushed me away from growing mushrooms for a long time, but I am ready to give it another shot.

I purchased a few different strains to grow and I am trying out some new all in one grain bags where the entire growing process takes place in an enclosed bag, making it virtually dummy proof. There is still a chance of contamination, but it is a lot lower.

Out of all the different strains, I am most excited for the "Dream Portal" strain. It is a cross of B+ and Hawaiian strains. Here is a description of the strain:
"Users reported a much higher visual state and out of body experience or virtual world combined with a rebirthing and trauma release." source

Before you inject the spores into the grain bags, you want to make sure to shake the syringes to mix up the spores.

Make sure to wear gloves and wipe EVERYTHING down with alcohol. I wiped down the entire bag and then set them on a sanitized surface. You also want to wipe down the gloves and the syringes as well. It is extremely easy to contaminate your grain bags, so don't skimp out on disinfecting and use plenty of alcohol.

Then you inject your spore solution into the grain bags. I didn't have an injection port on my bags, so I used some packing tape to cover the hole and prevent contamination.
Now it is time to sit back and wait. I should start to see some mycelium forming in about a week or two. The mycelium looks like a white fur that grows inside the bag. Once you see it, it shouldn't take too long for it to spread inside the entire bag and turn all of the grain white. It looks a lot like spider webs.
I am really looking forward to growing these different strains. I am going to be getting the materials needed to make pills for microdosing. Psilocyben mushrooms have some truly amazing health benefits and have the power to heal people's minds. These sacred plants have so much potential for humanity.
