Although we are in the winter season you can appreciate the vestiges left by autumn, these orange tones still offer us to enjoy the urban landscapes and gives us the feeling of still being in that season of the year although with much more cold and rain, especially this day when I took these photos. Palermo is one of the most picturesque neighborhoods of the city and offers a lot to portray, however I have my favorite places and Güemes square is one of them.

I don't know what is the reason for this particular square but it brings me a lot of peace and calm, whenever I can I just sit there having a coffee, looking around and admiring the imposing cathedral with neogothic influences.

I was on my way home that day and stopped for a few minutes to take these pictures before the storm, I had a 70-300mm lens and wanted to find out what I could get from the weather conditions at the time. Portraying some of the parts of the cathedral in combination with some dry branches and leaves of trees that are slowly becoming bare, may seem somehow very interesting to me.

I tried other more specific photos looking for more detail and bokeh as is the case with these leaves on the ground. Maybe they are a bit nostalgic images now that I think about it but that's winter, isn't it? A bit gray but it also depends on the eyes with which you see it, with your perception and your mood just in moments.

First series of two that I intend to share with you because obviously I have a black and white version that is very interesting and gives another vision to all this.
