One if the joy of photography is the variation and ability to adapt to all conditions. Take today it’s dark grey and tipping down out side so not ideal conditions for photos outside.
But it is a great opportunity to practice some macro photography and play about with the settings on my Olympus OM-D EM-1 with the Zuiko 60mm F2.8 macro lens.
Even simple household items can become interesting props for macro photography when you can’t get outside. A penknife becomes a sword.
And close ups are really crisp and sharp.
My 3D printed props and models look really good close up.
And the detail is amazing.
Each layer of death is 0.2mm and death is about 60mm so that gives you an idea of the scale.
Mind you it doesn’t always work using the 2.8 Fstop on the macro lens the focal plane is very narrow. So even something a few millimetres thick like this coin is mostly out of focus.
There you go Hive photography lovers one way to spend a cold rainy day day with a camera and practice your skills and camera settings.
