My new goal this year is to get everything up to date, solve problems I've been delaying and also to speed up what process needs to speed up. This includes reviewing my photo files and post the photos I haven't so far. They say photos are always good, even if they are old, but that's not true. Let me give you two reasons to back what I'm saying up.
One of the reasons is, technology is evolving. I've been on this platform for more than 7 years now and had 3 phones. I'm not the type to buy the newest model as soon as it is released, but sometimes you are forced to buy a new phone. The one I am using now is 4 years old and I'm happy it still does the job. Each model is better than the previous one and you can imagine the difference between the camera I have now and the one I had in 2018. What was extra quality in 2018 is now ... ok maybe, but sometimes not even ok. So waiting years to post your photos is not what you should do.
The other reason is obsolescence. I took some photos in May about my dad's garden. After coming home, things got a bit crazy and when I had the time to post about it, after a month or so, it was pointless as everything grew so much, the photos were not relevant anymore.
So it's good to keep everything up to date and not procrastinate things too much, which is why I'd like to post the rest of the photos from the oldtimer exhibition (before the new one knocks on the door :P).
A Mitsubishi Pajero, maybe the only one as I don't recall seeing several at the exhibition. At these exhibitions sometimes you see several cars of the same make and model and there are many missing, so if your car is the only one, you're king or queen :)
This is the famous (in my country only) Dacia, made in Romania. You always see several of them as it was made in Romania. The ones that have original settings are highly appreciated.
Most likely we all see cars in a different way, but for me, this Mercedes is the king of oldtimers. It's an elegant, luxury car, especially when it's in a good condition.
Same make, different model, a newer, more luxurious one. Too bad it was half in the shade and the photo is dark, but I bet you have seen this model before.
Same make, different model, similar color. I'm not a huge fan of this color when it comes to cars (there was once a make and model with this color, widely used by the wrong crowd and made me hate it), but it looks good on these models. They say you should choose a color that stands out on the road, definitely not grey which looks like the asphalt on the road. This color definitely stands out.
Same make, different model, different color, but a very funny one.
I'm 40 years old. Thank you!
This is what it is written on the side. Most likely this finny text makes a lot of people smile, but I was wondering what the owner is going to do next year, when the care is going to be 41?
If I already posted a few Mercedes, I thought let me post them all, to see how many they were and what models. Don't ask me to list the models as I have no clue, but most likely there are a few users here who could tell us all.
If I were to buy one, this would be the one. It's top shelf in its own category in my eyes.
To break the streak, here's something different. It's a Ford Coe, made in 1936, which means it is 89 years old and has an impressive story.
According to the paper, it was bought in 1954 from the driver who was driving it. According to the old owner, the car participated in the 2nd World War, after which a tank was installed on the back, to transport fuel. At the time of buying, the car didn't have the original engine. The restoration works lasted for 5 years and after that, the car participated at different events in 2009 in Romania and in 2018 in Hungary.
There was a phone number on the paper, which I cut out as it has no place here, but I was wondering if it is to contact the owners in case you want to buy it, or rent it out? Although no one in their right mind would rent out such an old car. Who knows. I can still call them :)
I'm really curious if there's someone among the readers, who had one or maybe several of these cars? Let me know.
