For me going out to the countryside with a camera or even with my cell phone implies relaxation and a distraction that only nature and photography lovers could understand, seeing tiny flowers, big ones, with distinctive details, or even a simple wild flower and not photographing it for me is a total waste of time, there are even times when I go out and take any number of pictures that I save in my computer and then edit them when I have the time available or when stress suggests that I need a distraction, and that's what I did this afternoon.
I dedicated myself to make the edition that I most love to do with flowers, the selective coloring, this time with some flowers in vibrant tones that I found in one of my last trips to the field, the first ones of a beautiful and striking purple color, a beautiful Tibouchina urvilleana, glory plant or Brazilian Nazarene as it is also known native to the tropics of Brazil and can easily be grown as an ornamental plant at tropical temperatures, and even at un0s 15 to 16 ° C, these flowers captivated me immediately, of this series that I show below I have decided to place them first because they have been my favorite.
The Crocosmia × crocosmiiflora known with a name too vulgar as it is Chispa, I imagine that by its tiny bells that go in a gradient of tones from yellow, through orange and reaching red, these are considered ornamental plants, which bloom in these beautiful and subtle bouquets, I found them on the side of the road, and it was a complete pity not to see the plant as such, because I could only observe the small flowers, and due to the delicacy of its branches of the many photographs that I took only one was well focused, a complete beauty and this beauty receives its name thanks to its similarity to the saffron, and as you can see its color is so similar.
And last but not least, these beautiful and vibrant yellow flowers, hierba del espanto or hierba del susto, also called witch's eyes, I guess because of the dark center of the bells that have as flowers, if I tell you that what caught my attention of these flowers, were the leaves of the climbing plant that is next to the flowers, Thunbergia alata is the scientific name of this ornamental plant that tends to be somewhat invasive when not pruned in time, or when it grows in vacant lots.
You can notice that the colors in the different photographs, in the case of Tibuchina and hierba del susto vary, even when they are the same flowers, this happens because of the shadows and lighting that may have the shots, this is another of the things I love about selective coloring, is that although these changes can be noticed in a full color photograph, it can be seen much better when we turn off the colors that surround them.

Para mi salir al campo con una cámara fotográfica o incluso con el celular implica relajación y una distracción que solo los amantes de la naturaleza y la fotografía pudieran entender, ver flores diminutas, grandes, con detalles distintivos, o incluso una simple flor silvestre y no fotografiarla para mi es un total desperdicio de tiempo, incluso hay ocasiones en las que salgo y tomo cualquier cantidad de fotografías que voy guardando en mi computador para luego editarlas cuando tengo el tiempo disponible o cuando el estrés me sugiere que necesito una distracción, y eso fue lo que hice esta tarde.
Me dedique a hacer la edición que más amo hacer con las flores, el coloreado selectivo, esta vez con unas flores en tonos vibrantes que me encontré en una de mis últimas salidas al campo, las primeras de un hermoso y llamativo color purpura unas hermosas Tibouchina urvilleana, planta de gloria o Nazareno brasilero como también es conocido originaria del trópico de Brasil y que puede fácilmente ser cultivado como planta ornamental a temperaturas tropicales, e incluso a un0s 15 a 16°C, estas flores me cautivaron de inmediato, de esta serie que les muestro a continuación he decidido colocarlas de primeras pues han sido mis favoritas
La Crocosmia × crocosmiiflora conocida con un nombre demasiado vulgar como lo es Chispa, imagino que por sus diminutas campanillas que van en un degradado de tonos desde el amarillo, pasando por el naranja y llegando al rojo, estas son consideradas plantas ornamentales, que florecen en estos hermosos y sutiles ramilletes, yo las encontré a un lado del camino, y fue una completa lastima no ver la planta como tal, pues solo pude observar las florecillas, y debido a lo delicadas de sus ramas de las muchas fotografías que tome solo una quedo bien enfocada, una completa hermosura y es que esta hermosura recibe su nombre gracias a su similitud con el azafrán, y como ven su color es tan parecido.
Y por ultimo pero no menos importante, estas hermosas y vibrantes flores amarillas, hierba del espanto o hierba del susto, también llamada ojos de bruja, imagino que por el centro oscuro de las campanillas que tienen como flores, si les cuento que lo que más me llamo la atención de estas flores, fueron las hojas de la planta trepadora que se encuentra al lado de las flores, Thunbergia alata lleva como nombre científico esta planta ornamental que tiende a ser un tanto invasora cuando no se poda a tiempo, o cuando crece en terrenos baldíos.
Pueden darse cuenta de que los colores en las diferentes fotografías, para el caso de la Tibuchina y la hierba del susto varían, aun cuando son las mismas flores, esto sucede por las sombras e iluminación que pueden tener las tomas, esta es otra de las cosas que amo del coloreado selectivo, es que si bien estos cambios se pueden notar en una fotografía a full color, se puede evidenciar muchísimo mejor cuando apagamos los colores que rodean a las mismas.
