Hope everyone is fine and enjoying summer! š
It's been a while since my last post sharing some pictures from I and my boyfriend's rides with the bikes, but since summers are usually full of festivals and events that you want to attend more or less, the city I'm living in makes no exception.
I already shared some of the events we attended, but it's really hard to keep up with everything because there are 2-3 which overlap weekly, so if you are looking for a summer full of memorable times, then Romania is definitely one of the greatest picks. Not to mention about the huge musical festivals that are not missing either.
We began our journey on an off-road trail located quite close to our homeplace which we used to do jogging in the morning a few months ago but which we never followed during our rides.
So we thought it's the perfect moment to add some dust on the tires and see what these bikes are actually made for, because they are MTB ones in the end!
We ended up in a neighbourhood of houses and residential apartments that we've visited before because one of my boyfriend's friends lives there, but we never did it by riding. However, everything is quite new including the road as well, so we decided to take advantage of the fresh bicycle track and see how far it goes, forgetting about what we leave behind and the passage of time. ā¤ļø
After crossing rivers and going up on a quite long and inclined surface we decided to take our first break to drink some water and enjoy the sun which was slowly going down.
Even if the bicycle track was ending before crossing the bridge, we wanted to test our resistance and go up on that inclined road before hitting the road back home.
Along with all the efforts made and 12 km spent in the saddle, we figured out that we were already far from the city and only 3 km away from the next one which we would like to reach one day. Unfortunately, the whole road wasn't equipped with light poles... and with the sun going down, we decided to follow the way back home with the promise to do the same ride one day but earlier in the dawn with the hope to share the next set of images from the city we were just 5 minutes away to reach! š
We had one more stop at the bridge to take a few more pictures of the sunset I was looking so much forward to get while riding our bikes, so I'm happy it finally happened and I can't wait for more moments like this! š
Are you a sunset or sunrise person?
Did you have any of these rides/walks without chasing a destination? š
All the support is highly appreciated. š
