Nah, still not done with winter content. In fact, I got a lot of stuff from this season still un-posted. These shots are taken on the Estonian biggest island, Saaremaa when we had a short spa vacation there. The weather was quite insane with nonstop heavy snowfall. It wasn't a planned trip to this location but we drove past it and I wanted to make a stop and take some shots.
This place is called Angla windmill park on the northern side of Saaremaa Island. In the summer season, this place also acts as a museum of some kind but at this time it was closed. The snow was so deep that it wasn't really possible to walk next to the windmills anyways. We just did a walk by on the road next to the park.
We decided to walk a bit more on the road we were on. The trees in the distance looked cool in this snow and I wanted to get a closer look.
Those countryside bus stops always look so cool.
Want to sit at a bus stop? No problem, you just need to deal with big piles of now 😀.
I will add the following photos to this post as well even though these are taken in a place different than the subject location in this post. I just had to make another stop on the road to take photos of this crazy winter wonderland.
Trees and branches are so bent under the weight of snow that had fallen down. We saw numerous branches on the road too that had fallen off the tree due to snow. As you can see in the following photo, the branches are on the power lines almost. Several places indeed lost power for several days.
