I have a folder on my computer that is still called SteemitPhotos, and in it are a bunch of shots that I think I'll get around to posting some day, and for the most part things will sit in there for a week or two, maybe a month before they get the call up but some photos, well those poor overlooked shots end up just sitting there for ever, so these are those shots, maybe there was good reason they were overlooked, maybe they are worthy, let's find out.
From June 2023 and called roadtrip 5, this is a classic sign that this one of those ones that was left over from another post. I remember this day (and maybe the post) it was a sunny winters day, in fact it might have been the long weekend just past and we decided to go for a drive in the country and this roof of a industrial building took my fancy, it didn't make it into the post as the post became a story about my car - a very cool red Mazda M-X5 convertible.
This is another trip from the city, this time it's the 28th of December 2024, and we are down the Mornington Peninsula, i thought this chip packet was interesting, maybe I had the thought that I would write something about putting chip packets in the oven to shrink them and make keyrings out of them, maybe it was some story about a beach and lost love (as most of my stories about beaches are) but it never saw the light of day
Another one with a number label - Trip 5 from June 2024. This trip didn't involve a car, it was only a walk into the city, I know where in space is, you have to take a little trip down a laneway behind a theatre restaurant. Maybe I wasn't to use it in a street art post, but thought the 100 was not quite good enough, maybe I could decide if the post was about the artwork or the five footballs in the window, either way it got lost and never posted, until now.
I take a version of this shot a lot, I have a thing for dead trees and blue skies, at some point I thought I could even do a exhibition of these shots, but it's not really my style, which, contrary to some of these shots it more urban and deep colours.
And the final shot, I remember this day it was again me wandering in Melbourne city, I look up as I often do and find things, I actually really like this shot, it's a interesting concept, but I'm not sure I got it exactly right, it likely needs a little dehazing, but so there it sat unloved for 8 months, I wonder what else is still in here.
