First of all, Happy New Year to all you Hivers. Tomorrow we all will enter 2024. Of course the times will be new but the action will continue to be the same as before. I would like to talk about 2023 before entering 2024. This year has been very good for me...well, let me tell you why. In the year 2023, I visited 106 places...to visit these places I had to travel 20465 km. Had to cover distance from road. I started roaming from January 1st and today, on the last day of the year, I am roaming again.
January 2023
I was in Dehradun and while roaming here I visited Ghanta Ghar, Sahastradhara, Balabhadra and Chandraghanta temples. It is winter here and the real fun of traveling comes only in winter.
February 2023
I return to my home in Faridabad from Dehradun. Winters are going here and I take the best decision of visiting the lakes present in Faridabad. I visit the lakes located in Pani Kot and Mangar villages here and click good photos.
March 2023
After admiring the beauty of the plains, I come back to my destination Dehradun. Here like every time I visit Ghanta Ghar, Sahastradhara, Balabhadra and Chandraghanta temples. Now winter is coming to an end, so I take bath in the pond located at Sahastradhara and try to learn swimming.
April 2023
From Dehradun I directly reach Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh. Here I visited 7 places in which Baijnath, Beed, Billing, Rajgundha and Hanumangarh were famous. While staying here, I went paragliding, trekked to Hanumangarh Peak and enjoyed the sunrise at the peak of Dhauladhar mountain range.
May 2023
In May, I came to my home in Faridabad from Himachal Pradesh and from here I went straight to Darjeeling with my friend. It was a 1800 km long road trip which took us two days to complete. Here we visited Siliguri, Darjeeling, Rimbik, Gurdum, Sandakphu Peak, Phalut and Gorkhe villages. We stayed here for two weeks and our return also took a very long time.
June 2023
Half a year has passed and my travel is now taking me to Leh. Ladakh is the place where I have been going every year since 2013. There would hardly be any place in Ladakh where I have not been, yet I enjoy the Manali-Leh highway the most. I have a lot of interest in the roadside villages and people.
July-August 2023
I come directly from Ladakh to Delhi, from Delhi to my home and then back to Dehradun. Where I visit Ghanta Ghar, Sahastradhara, Balabhadra and Chandraghanta temples and spend most of the time sleeping and reading books. The rains have started here and this time the monsoon has caused a lot of harm to the people. During the two months of rains, I don't go anywhere and stay here and enjoy writing on Hive.
September 2023
In the last week of September I go to Solang, the most beautiful valley of Himachal Pradesh. This time the monsoon was dangerous, hence the condition of the road from Mandi to Manali was very bad. There is nothing left in the name of the road. Heavy rain and Beas river did a dangerous dance on the road.
October 2023
I stayed in Solang Valley for two weeks in October. Here I trekked to Manali, Beas Kund, Friendship Peak Base Camp, Kothi Top, Bhrigu Lake and Rohtang Pass. While in Solang, I participated in a rescue operation in which I along with the NDRF team searched for a missing trekker. After our week long efforts the missing trekker was found but dead.
I come straight home from Solang, wash my clothes and leave for Kedarnath. This was my third visit to Kedarnath. This time I came to know that Kedarnath is no longer the same Kedarnath as before. Here people are in over their heads with money and everything has become very expensive. I had darshan of Kedar Baba while getting wet in the rain. This trip lasted a week.
November 2023
Came straight from Kedarnath to Chandigarh, here I meet my old friends and come to Faridabad from where I go to Vrindavan. This trip lasts for two days in which I circumambulate 21 Kos in which I circumambulate the entire Vrindavan. It was a pleasant experience to have darshan of Lord Krishna in Banke Bihari Temple. After coming home, I go to Shiva temple in Sonepat and from here go to Dehradun.
December 2023
I come to Delhi from Dehradun from where I go to Jaisalmer with my friends. It was an 800 km long road trip which took us only 13 hours to cover. First 5 days we visit Jaisalmer, after that we spend one day visiting Longewala Museum. It is hot here during the day and so cold at night that even the blood freezes.
