Hello dear hive friends,
Yesterday, we decided to go to a small island called Madol Doova with some family members. It is located in the village of Habaraduwa on the Galle Matara main road, which is a very beautiful village. A boat is required to go to this island. The children also liked it, and so we decided to go there.
Due to the sea breeze, the waves are quite strong. As always, its point to point color change is amazing. I love the ocean but was a bit apprehensive during this trip. Even though it is a lagoon scene, the waves are too strong. We visited this in the evening, so the sunlight was less. Even tourists come to this spot to take pictures. This was a new experience.
"Madol Doova" is a popular and classic novel written by Sri Lankan author Martin Wickramasinghe. It has become an important children's book, contributing significantly to children's education. Because of this novel, the island is still called Madol Doova. While traveling in the Koggala Lagoon, you can also see several other islands. Moreover, "Madol Doova" is not only an engaging adventure story but also a coming-of-age tale that resonates with readers of all ages. It portrays the significance of old Sri Lankan village life, the beauty of nature, and the richness of cultural heritage.
Next, we went to Thambi Island. There, we stopped the boat and took some pictures of ourselves enjoying the scenery. It is a very beautiful place, rich in mangroves, where you can enjoy with great mental freedom.
And while we were on this boat ride, there was a beautiful big rock that no one could go near. But one of my brothers managed to take some pictures of Chaya. It was a beautiful experience and a good opportunity for children to gain valuable experiences.
