Hello friends photography lovers, in response to the travelcontest which this time is about "small" I would like to participate with some black and white photographs of small snails.
These snails are very common in this tropical zone, they are known as giant African snails, whose scientific name is Achatina fulica, and are catalogued as an invasive species, which causes problems to the ecosystem and crops because it reproduces and expands extremely fast.

It's been said that this snail is poisonous and should not be touched with bare hands, there is a variety of snail that is not dangerous, but it is better to have to discover it. Investigating a little in Wikipedia, I could see that it seems that it is not poisonous but it is a carrier of parasites and bacteria extremely dangerous for the human being and for the animals, it is assured that the animals that have eaten this snail have died, for that reason at the moment of photographing them I made sure that there was no contact whatsoever.
I could really notice how they are a plague, because they are everywhere in the yard of my grandparents' house, sometimes you even end up stepping on some that are hidden under the weeds. It is possible to observe many of which only the shell remains, I do not know if it is because they are gone, have died or have changed shells. I could also find some with broken shells, I wonder what could have broken them, this is a little strange to me, since no one has done anything against them.
