Hi, Photography Lovers! This time around, I'll show you some photos taken back in 2010 or 2011 but edited on Adobe Photoshop in 2013. These photos were taken using my first digital camera, an Olympus FE-26 camera. The overview of the camera was written at the end of the article. Based on my Google search, the resort is permanently closed. This resort is just the neighbor of another popular resort, Kota Beach Resort.
The resort was located at Poblacion, Bantayan Island, Santa Fe, 6024 Cebu, Philippines.
Upon doing another Google search, in the same exact location, the place has been replaced by a different resort name.
This was the entrance of the beach resort. I took this photo for blogging purposes. We rented a cottage room that was affordable at that time, PHP500 a night and I decided to extend our stay and enjoy a weekend getaway.
The other cottage rooms cost more but are bigger, good for big families.
Bantayan Island has three municipalities and is famous for its white beaches. This is just Santa Fe, the first town. As you can see, Budyong Beach has white fine sand and clear blue water.
Here's the sand bar, and look at that blue horizon, the sky, and the sea.
This was the restaurant but never got the chance to eat there because it was expensive. We were near the local market so we could just go outside and buy some food at a local restaurant.
In front of the restaurant was this view. These two cottages have the best view ever. Even when you get out of the restaurant, you can have an amazing view immediately.
The restaurant and the signage which you can sit on it.
The coconut trees, white sand beach, clear blue sky, and seawater. This is truly a paradise.
The Olympus FE-26 camera really took nice photos, especially if you're in a natural light setting. I just enhanced the saturation and vibrancy. With some photos, I may have oversaturated especially on the cottage/accommodation photos.
We saw a Mojitos glass shot lying on the sand so I used the macro effect of the camera. The sand looks pinkish here.
I changed my angle to have a blue background using the blue sky and clear seawater.
And here's the last photo for this blog.
If you want to visit the Philippines in the future, I highly recommend you visit Bantayan Island. Is not as crowded as Boracay Island. It is not a party island. This is a great place to do a little escape when you are stressed from work.
What the camera looks like
The Olympus FE-26 Digital Camera offers high-quality imaging technology in a convenient, compact form factor. Composing photos is easy on the camera's bright, 2.7" LCD screen. Intelligent Auto (iAuto) Mode analyzes your composition and automatically adjusts critical exposure settings for brilliant, hassle-free shooting. Affordably priced, the FE-26 features 12.0 megapixel resolution, Face Detection, Autofocus Tracking, high ISO 1600 capability, and many other must-have features previously found only in complicated, higher priced models. Powered by two AA-size batteries, it's easy to power up wherever you are - no need for battery chargers or international power adapters. With all this and more, the Olympus FE-26 is an excellent choice for beginning photographers and photo enthusiasts alike.

I regret not bringing this camera here to France. I just left this camera in the Philippines. This camera is still functional but decided not to use it, or abandon it after I got my Nikon D5100. Overall, I would really love to have an Olympus DSLR camera but the brand is expensive. So, I was eyeing for Canon or Nikon and finally, got a Nikon.
Although I received an Olympus underwater camera as a secondhand and I really loved it. Hopefully, I can feature that camera here and share some underwater shots before it died on me.
