Hello, good afternoon, dear community of photography lovers. I wish you all a day filled with good times and lots of inspiration. Today, I'd love to share the beauty of an abandoned colonial-style hotel on my beautiful Cuban beaches. Without further ado, I invite you to join me for this wonderful session.
Hola muy buenas tardes querida comunidad, amantes de la fotografía. Deseo para todos un dia cargado de buenos momentos y mucha inspiracion.
El dia de hoy me encantaria compartir la belleza de un hotel al estilo Colonial abandonado en mis bellas playas cubanas. Sin mas que decir os invito a acompañarme en esta bella sesion.
On my last visit to the beach, I had the privilege of appreciating the architectural beauty of this place. The blend of vibrant colors fused with the old colonial style and the replanting of so many plant species due to its deterioration and neglect made it look magical and interesting.
En mi ultima visita a la playa, tuve el privilegio de apreciar la belleza arquitectonica de este lugar. La mezcla de colores tan vivos fusionados con el estilo antiguo colonial y la repoblacion de tantas especies de plantas por el deterioro y abandono del mismo, hicieron que luciera magico e interesante.
I don't know if you feel the same way as me—sometimes when walking alone in a desolate, lonely place, we feel like someone's walking behind us. It's very chilling to experience that sensation, and in this place, I felt exactly that way, although it passed when I just concentrated on admiring and wandering around so freely.
No se si os pasa igual que a mi, que en ocasiones al andar sin ninguna compañía por un lugar desolado y solo, sentimos que hay alguien caminando tras nuestro. Es muy escalofriante sentir esa sensación, pues en este lugar, me sentia justo asi, aunque se me pasaba cuando solo me concentraba en admirar y pasear con tanta libertad.
It's a shame I wasn't able to tour the entire hotel, as they didn't allow me to explore the surroundings and take pictures for security reasons. However, since I love adrenaline and exploring unknown places, I ventured out and sneaked around the back area and had the chance to see a small part of it. This hotel was one of the first in the tourist destination of Cayo Coco, currently abandoned, destroyed, and undergoing renovations. It was a unique 4-star resort in the country, with significant colonial architecture and ambiance. According to the hotel's security, it was closed in 2023 for renovations, and the rooms, windows, showers, doors, etc. were completely emptied. Nicknamed "ghost town," I represented this beautiful session, as I couldn't find a better title to express the wealth of emotions that this place made me feel.
Es una pena el no haber podido recorrer todo el establecimiento completo, pues no dejaban recorrer los alrededores y tomar imágenes por seguridad del mismo, pero como adoro la adrenalina, y explorarar lugares desconocidos, pues me aventuré y a escondidillas por la zona trasera tuve chance de comtemplar una pequeña parte. Este hotel fue uno de los primeros en el destino turístico de Cayo Coco, actualmente abandonado, destruido y en procesos de remodelación. Fue un resorts 4 estrellas único en el país, con una arquitectura y ambiente colonial significativo.
Según la seguridad de la estancia, en 2023 fue cerrado por reformas, se vaciaron completamente las habitaciones, sus ventanas, duchas, puertas, etc.
Con el apodo "pueblo fantasma", represente esta preciosa sesion, pues no encontré mejor titulo para expresar todo el cumulo de emociones que me hizo sentir dicho lugar.
