What's up Hive Multiverse?
Today I'm back with some shots from a very nice spot where I used to like spending time by myself when I was working and living in Mallorca.
It is a place by the sea near the small town of Porto Petro, located at the South-Eastern coast of the island with high cliffs and a lighthouse.
That day I went there to take some photos to try a freshly delivered order from ebay, containing a Nikon remote controller and a ND 1000 filter to take some long exposure shots during daytime.
📷 A different kind of selfie, the photographer selfie!
I have never been the kind of guy who takes a lot of selfies with a smartphone, but if I have the gear and I want to do it, I prefer a more professional kind of selfie! 😜
At that time I didn't even have a tripod, I was always finding the best place to just place my camera there, where it would not move and shooting with the remote controller.
📷 Long exposure shots with a ND 1000 filter
For this first shot I had the following settings:
Exposure Time | F-stop | Sensibility | Focal Distance |
---|---|---|---|
30 sec | f/13 | ISO 100 | 18 mm |
I took a series of these shots with different settings to later merge them together in post production.
The following image is made from a series of 4 different shots tone mapped together with Photomatix Pro 5.
I wish I had wider lenses... 🤔 Oh wait, but I did have it!
It was my amazing 10mm Nikon fish eye lens! 😄
📷 Lighthouse self portrait
I know, I always pose the same way! 🤣
📷 Fish Eye Landscape
For only the first of the two following shots I applied the automatic lens correction on Lightroom, based on the lens model, which I normally don't use, but here I like the kind of Wide Angle lens effect it has on this particular image.
All photos have been taken with a Nikon d7100 camera.
I hope you all enjoyed the photos and the short description, if you did, don't be afraid to smash the like button and follow me on my blog in this amazing adventure in the Hive Multiverse!
