Last weekend I had a rappel activity in the outskirts of the city where I live San Cristobal, we did it in a suspension bridge that is nearby and the truth is that I had many years of not going through this site so it was a good opportunity to admire its beauty and take pictures of an unusual structure, the truth seems to me a shame that this structure is so abandoned because of how harmonious I find the suspension bridges. The view when you get to the bridge is great.

El fin de semana tuve una actividad de rapel a las afueras de ciudad en donde vivo San Cristóbal, la realizamos en un puente colgante que hay cerca y la verdad tenía muchos años de no pasar por este sitio por lo cual fue una buena oportunidad para poder admirar su belleza y tomar fotografías de una estructura poco usual, la vedad me parece toda una pena que esta estructura se encuentre tan abandonada debido a lo armonioso que me resultan los puentes colgantes. La vista cuando vas llegando al puente es genial.
Although I really liked the front shot of the steel cables, you can also see how everything has deteriorated and the corrosion that can be seen. The base of its rectangular structure served me to look for good shots trying to center everything and the vertical cables complement the geometric environment.

Aunque la toma frontal de los cables de acero me gustó mucho también se puede apreciar cómo se ha ido deteriorando todo y la corrosión que se puede ver. La base de su estructura rectangular me sirvió para buscar buenas tomas tratando de centrar todo y los cables verticales complementan el entorno geométrico.
These last few days have been rainy so I was able to capture shots of the river near the bridge which is quite abundant, but it is a river not suitable for swimming and the truth is not the most beautiful for photographs.

Estos últimos días han sido de lluvias por lo cual pude capturar tomas del río cercano al puente el cual está bastante caudaloso, pero se trata de un rio no apto para nadar y la verdad no es el más bello para fotografías.
The more pictures I took the more sadness I felt for the state of the bridge, even in its current state of abandonment I was able to get very nice shots and scenes that I liked a lot, I can not imagine how beautiful this site would be when it was in perfect condition.

Entre más fotografías tomaba más tristeza sentía por el estado del puente, incluso en su estado actual de abandono lograba obtener tomas y escenas muy bonitas y que me gustaban mucho, no puedo imaginar como seria la belleza de este sitio cuando estaba en perfectas condiciones.

One aspect that gave me mixed feelings was the accumulated and stagnant water in the center of the bridge, based on my civil engineering studies I found it very sad how the drainage system is collapsed and causes these puddles that are slowly deteriorating the bridge. As for my taste in photography, it seemed to me a great opportunity to capture good shots with reflection, creating that mirror effect that looks so cool.

Un aspecto que me genero sentimientos mixtos fue el agua acumulada y estancada en el centro del puente, en base a mis estudios de ingería civil me pareció muy triste como se encuentra colapsado su sistema de drenaje y provoca estos charcos que van deteriorando lentamente el puente. En cuanto a mi gusto de fotografía me pareció una gran oportunidad para capturar buenas tomas con reflejo, creando ese efeto espejo que se ve tan genial.
Something curious is how despite being a city in the Andean zone far away from the coast, we have a navy lighthouse and a small square in honor of the naval force. The lighthouse structure is quite tall and very striking but again its state of maintenance is not exactly the best, you can not climb to the top.

Algo curioso es como a pesar de ser una ciudad de la zona andina muy alejada de la costa, tenemos un faro de la marina y una pequeña plaza en honor a la fuerza naval. La estructura del faro es bastante alta y muy llamativa pero nuevamente su estado de mantenimiento no es precisamente el mejor, no se puede subir hasta la cima.
Several naval objects adorn the square such as a submarine bomb or so I imagine, an anchor, a boat and even a torpedo that looks very cool. Undoubtedly very imposing and striking the torpedo and despite having paint details it looks very good to be outdoors, a place that although I had passed by many times I had never been in the square or seen all the emblematic decorations of the navy.

Varios objetos de marina adornaban la plaza como lo son una bomba de submarino o eso imagino, un ancla, una lancha e incluso un torpedo que se ve muy genial. Sin duda alguna muy imponente y llamativo el torpedo y a pesar de tener detalles de pintura se ve muy bien para estar al aire libre, un lugar que aunque había pasado cerca muchas veces nunca había estado en su plaza ni visto todas las decoraciones emblemáticas de la marina.
