This one is my favourite stupa to visit among all in the city. While others are located inside the city area, this one is situated in the top of the hill, little bit outside of city life. You don't feel like you are in the city. You can notice a forest behind the stupa. The name of this stupa is Vijaya Jamchen Stupa located in Budhanilkantha municipality, Kathmandu. The forest behind it is of Shivapuri national park. Sadly the stupa was closed due to COVID. From the stupa one can enjoy the landscape and panoramic view of the Kathmandu city. No entrance fee is actually required to enter there. When you go inside the gate and see the stupa, it looks bigger than one can see in the photo. Also the architectural structure looks very stunning when one go near to it.
There is no direct road to go here. However, I am not sure of it. Majority of people park their vehicle at the end of the road and then climb 15 minutes uphill to reach the stupa. I clicked above photos while going up. People were clicking photos sitting at the edge of the hills as seen in the photo.
