Hi all 👋🏻
Today I want to share with you captures of some Scottish/ Highland Cows in a natural walking area we call in the Netherlands “De Roode Beek” and it is part of the “Schinveldse bossen” / forest. ~ just on the border with Germany.
The 14 Photographs I show you in this post are taken with my ‘late’ Canon eos 550D with 18 - 135 mm lens in early August 2012.
If you remember my post about the gliders…:
Portrait of Gliders (aircraft) in Schinveld the Netherlands 🇳🇱
This area is just next to it and I visited it on the same day. 😊
The location on Google maps I marked with a yellow star ⭐️ for you:
Let me show you the beautiful cows / oxen that live there for years and roam free.
I could walk slowly between them and they were amused by me and just carried on what cows like to do most hehehe 🤭 some did look up… as you will see in my photographs 📸😎
At the end I have a nice bonus too 🥰
As you can see, gliders straight on and the Roode Beek to the right. Let’s start our walk.
As I look over the Brook… “Roode Beek” I see a cow slowly walking into the stream. It was a nice warm day to do so 😊
And literally next to me are many Scottish Cows. There is no fence so they can go where they want, but tend to stay close to the Brook and the nice grass.
I see one black ox.
Also some little ones are there… aren’t they cute? 🥰 so cuddly… but we won’t go and cuddle them. Don’t worry 😉 we keep our distance.
This one decided to pose for me 📸😎
Another curious calf looks at me what I’m doing… 📸 click 😎
When I look over to the left I see more cows are getting into the water… to drink and cool down.
As we walk slowly through the cattle some are laying in the grass…
Another young one looks up… 😊
Looks like they are curious…
With my last captures I will focus on the cows in the water. The surrounding is just like a fairytale 🤩
Last click… 📸😊

🌸 And here is the bonus part:
I’m part of a group of photographers that share their photographic captures with artists… so they can use, the freely given, photographs as reference to create their ART. And lucky me I am an artist myself too, so I can use this too for my art, and I have done so in the past 🥰 🌸
I wanted to share with you this wonderful OIL painting that ”OLIVIA O’CARRA out of Killarney -Ireland” painted using my photograph from above that She lovingly named “HIGH SUMMER” 4 October 2017. I’m always happy when artists share their work with me when they used one of my photographs.
(used with permission)
Isn’t that painting lovely? 😊🥰😎 She did a grant job 🤩😁
And that’s all for today’s post my friends, join me next time for more #adventures, #stories and #photographs 😎👋🏻 Even some #artworks once in a while will come by 🎨
Thank you so much for looking, and reading. And if you liked my post, an upvote or re-blog is always welcome 🙏🏻
Hope you enjoyed my photos and seeing the things through my eyes.
Any questions or comments, let me know. Always happy to help.
Have a great day all 😎
