About two weeks ago I found myself immersed in the vibrant energy of Kiel Week 2025 in Kiel, Germany. This ten-day celebration of sailing, music and culture drew around 3.3 million people, transforming the entire city into one giant festival ground. I spent most of my time at the RadioBob Rockcamp stage, weaving through the enthusiastic crowd as bands delivered electric performances under crisp summer skies.
Armed with my Sony Alpha 7 III and the Sony 70–200 mm f/2.8 lens, I lost myself in capturing those fleeting moments. Back home I processed the raw files in Lightroom, bumping up contrast and clarity to bring out every detail of the performers’ expressions and stage atmosphere.
Below you’ll find a selection of my favorite shots so far, each one a tiny story in itself. In the next few days I’ll share more photographs from other bands I discovered during Kiel Week. Stay tuned if you want to relive those moments with me.
One band I stumbled upon for the very first time was Airstrike. I had never heard their music before, but their high-voltage guitar riffs, driving bass lines and powerful vocals won me over immediately. If you’re curious to hear what I’m talking about, head over to Spotify and give a few of their tracks a listen. You might just find your new favorite band.
