Actually, those are not parts of the blossom but the leaves of that particular plant.
Funny but in English it seems to be just...Poinsettia. In our language it bears the meaning of Christmas Star. It's fine in winter and its leaves turn bright red,

It might have lived much longer had I provided better conditions. I might have misirrigated it a bit. Not on purpose, despite the fact that I fell suspect to that. Planned and carried out neglect.
I was just minding my own business which was somehting else and then...over the course of days, this withering took place.
I was slow to react to the changes. The first withering leaves were of much interest, too, I thought about photographing them and I went on with my lists.
I was later reminded, though. By the very sight of it. It was a pale shadow in comparison to its days of glorious withering process. Autumn at home,
Then the regret of opportunities missed.
Pointless.
Take what you can and...I have to redesign it. Perhaps another time.
