And it's only after I chose the title that I remembered the town was famous for its improvised artillery (the cannon was made of the trunk of a cherry tree...at least in the legends) shot that announced the beginning of the April Rebellion of 1876.
The whole town of Panagyurishte in the middle of Bulgaria is still famous for its involvement in the events.
Camera Details:
With such filter-caused distortion? Really? Providing details would be next to pointless.
But since you asked so nicely...
Aperture F 8; Shutter Speed 1/400 of a second; Light Sensitivity ISO 200; Focal Length 200 mm.
Experimenting with some angles and a tilt-shift filter applied during editing.
Conclusion: I still need a better view from above, something that would allow me to have most groups of objects on different planes with space between them so that they do not showcase the fakeness of the fake out of focus effect.
Focus is about distance and geometrical plains. The landscape lies in one plain and the image of it lies in another. A tilt-shift filter would mess with the plain of the image while a real lens would be working with focus on more realistic levels. Or would it?
That's just my impression after a good number of experiments on shots...much like this one...not quite optimal for the purpose.
And since we're about exposing my illusion spell anyway, I might as well provide the real image...
Still, the point of view was nice. I have other images, though, and the tests shall continue.
Peace and Healthy Turmoil!
Yours,
Manol
