Symmetry
Symmetry, in its various forms, is a concept deeply rooted in the human being, as it reflects a sense of order, balance and beauty. It is a principle that we find in both the natural world and in human creations, from the face to architectural works and different artistic expressions.
In photography, symmetry is a compositional technique that seeks visual balance in an image, where one half is mirrored or similar to the other, creating a sense of harmony and order.
In the vicinity of my home in Barquisimeto, there is a shopping mall belonging to a well-known national chain, with presence even abroad.
This mall has an architectural design that resembles a traditional Venezuelan musical instrument called "cuatro" because it has four strings, and has the shape of a ukulele, so the building has curved corridors, as well as long straight aisles where you can see the symmetry of its columns and other structural elements.
As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original image to my satisfaction.
Simetría
La simetría, en sus diversas formas, es un concepto profundamente afianzado en el ser humano, ya que refleja un sentido del orden, el equilibrio y la belleza. Es un principio que encontramos, tanto en el mundo natural como en las creaciones humanas, es decir, desde el rostro hasta las obras arquitectónicos y las diferentes expresiones artísticas.
En la fotografía, la simetría es una técnica de composición que procura el equilibrio visual en una imagen, donde una mitad se refleja o es similar a la otra, creando una sensación de armonía y orden.
En las cercanías de mi hogar en Barquisimeto, se encuentra un centro comercial perteneciente a una reconocida cadena nacional, con presencia incluso en el exterior.
Este centro comercial cuenta con un diseño arquitectónico que se asemeja a un tradicional instrumento musical venezolano llamado cuatro porque posee cuatro cuerdas, y tiene la forma de un ukelele, por lo que la edificación cuenta con pasillos curvos, además de largos pasillos rectos donde se puede apreciar la simetría de sus columnas y otros elementos estructurales.
Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir las imágenes originales a mi entera satisfacción.
