Another Safari but this time I took a model, besides my wife I had never taken anyone to take pictures of her before, at least that I remember. This time I took a childhood friend, practically family because since we were kids our families celebrated birthdays and many other occasions together. Lupe, or Lupita as I call her, went with all the sadness in the world to the place without thinking that so many people would be looking at her while I was taking pictures of her. But that was at the beginning of the safari and the photos I bring you today were the last ones I took of her in a moat of some ruins from when the Spaniards ruled Cuba. Careful not to step in a puddle of water or get muddy, we went looking for places to take these photos.
And I say we went because I was walking with @janetedita and @abelfotografia, I almost always walk with the best of the club, you always learn something new with them. The rest is history. These photos for me were the best I managed to take of Lupita because of the time and location. It was already 6 o'clock in the evening and the light was beginning to have that sunset tone that looked so good. Add to that the contrast of her clothes with the green of the grass, and I think the saturation was a little low, I could have accentuated it a little more, but in that sense, I prefer to fall short rather than overdo it.
Otro Safari más pero esta vez lleve una modelo, más allá de mi esposa nunca había llevado a nadie antes para hacerle fotos, al menos que yo recuerde. Esta vez lleve a una amiga de la infancia, prácticamente familia pues desde pequeños nuestras familias celebraban juntos los cumpleaños y muchas otras ocasiones. Lupe, o Lupita como yo le digo, fue con toda la pena del mundo a lugar sin pensar que tantas personas la mirarían mientras la hacia las fotos. Pero eso fue al inicio del safari y las fotos que les traigo hoy fueron las ultimas que le hice en un foso de unas ruinas del tiempo en que los españoles mandaban en Cuba. Con cuidado de no pisar un charco de agua o de enfangarnos, fuimos buscando espacios donde hacer estas fotos.
Y digo fuimos pues andaba junto a @janetedita y @abelfotografia, casi siempre ando con los mejores del club, siempre se aprende algo nuevo con ellos. El resto es historia. Estas fotos para mi fueron las mejores que logre hacerle a Lupita por la hora y la localización. Ya era las 6 de la tarde y la luz comenzaba a tener ese tono de atardecer que tan bien queda. A eso le sumamos el contraste de su ropa con el verde del césped, que creo se me quedo un poco baja la saturación, podía acentuarlo un poco más, pero ese sentido prefiero quedarme corto antes que pasarme.
And so went a part of this last Safari, filled with the same friendships and a new model that I'm sure will repeat there, before I forget. We are thinking about a @safarihabana initiative on Hive, for now, we already have the account, but it wouldn't hurt to follow it, you'll like it!
