Isn’t this flower beautiful?
Its name is orchid flower, and yes — it looks like one.
But guess what? It’s not a real orchid.
We call it “Roktokanchon” in Bengali —
a name that sounds like "bloody gold", though the flower isn’t red like blood.
My university campus has several of these trees.
Whenever they’re in full bloom, we know — spring has arrived.
Pink petals sway in the breeze and fall gently to the ground. So graceful.
Nature is unbelievably beautiful!
If you stand beneath the tree,
its soft petals fall around your feet —
as if a lover is laying down their heart in front of you, whispering their love.
