Samodivs are forest spirits. There are several legends surrounding their existence, but the most interesting one for me is that they are disobedient wives who left the household duties and went wandering in nature. Over the years, there have been testimonies from many shepherds seeing the mysterious creatures in tall and dense forests.
Everyone who looked the self-diva in the eyes had problems or disappeared without a trace. The only possible option to get rid of the curse was to steal the belt from the dress while she was bathing in the river. It was there that the power of the samodiva was hidden.
Honestly, I don't know why there hasn't been a feature film based on these legends. If you have a lot of money you can finance the story and I will gladly film it. Maybe I'm kidding... We made this photo story with Lara. I recently had the pleasure of working with her as a photographer at her family's equestrian facility.
Despite the horse allergy, I feel really happy. I photograph while walking around the beautiful Vitosha mountain among animals. What more could one want?! Well, a photographer would say - New lens, but we know each other.
