Хороший день / Dobryi den’ / Hi,
Welcome to the second post (aka part two) dedicated to our little travelling across Ukraine. My first post sort of covered the power plant. In this contribution, we simply loaf around the exclusion zone which is an area of ~30 km radius from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant;-)
For starters, this machine. Perhaps suitable in tough winters?
A friendly single-tailed dog.
What a good companion.
Approaching abandoned house.
Unwashed plate.
Entering some kind of community center. Likely ex-dancing hall.
Zooming in on.
Inside random house.
Visiting kindergarten.
Many had been there before. Thus, no wonder they have rearranged things to fit their fancy camera compositions. That is how it is. For the record, we have touched NO thing as we do not have such need🤔
Elsewhere. Looking for lavatory?
These barrels... better to change the location.
You!
Found hot-spot - not connected to Wi-Fi though. Rather this is a spot with higher presence of radioactivity. Working dosimeter will simply start to beep like a hell😆
Old good LAZ buss still in operation there. Do you see how the road is wide?
Final stop of this post - Monument to those who saved the world.
What I recall, our tour-guide told us, this monument was built by ordinary people like firefighters, doctors..., not by any academic sculptor. Anyhow, these people were/are TRUE heroes in my heart.
That is all for today. If you like it, stay tuned as more cool stuff from our Ukrainian adventures back in 2018 will definitely come. In the meantime, don't forget to check out my Pinmapple profile to see all places I have visited on the map!
